" Yes, there are." Leafpool blinked and opened her muzzle to drink in the early afternoon air. She smelled the tangy smell of grasses, and a few mice, and then the smell of a vole distracted her. She pricked her ears and listened for the scruffling of it's paws. As soon as she detected it, Leafpool gestured for silence and pinpointed her prey with the ease of long practice. The vole came into view as she crept under a small fern, scuttling with a piece of fish in it's paws, completely unaware of her prescense. She stalked, one paw after the other, silently, until within a few feet from her prey, Leafpool bunched her muscles, leapt, and landed smoothly on the vole, killing it with a swift bite to the neck.

The lioness looked at Leafpool intrigued that she was going for a hunt. Indeed she was, and this excited her. Rahmah watched her leap, and connect to the little creature she was after.
Wow.. I wish i could hunt like that...
Twisting her cranium to the left side with awe, she smiled at her seeing the prey within her chops.
I cant hunt....
She admitted she was a poor huntress. Seeing another vole she pranced toward it and landed upon her chin as she went for a flying leap toward it. Missing it she could feel herself growing hot with sheer embarrasement . slowly turned her cranium to look at Leafpool she offered her a toothy grin filled with bashfulness as she lay there on her belly looking at her..
Can you teach me? I know its rather odd a lioness cant hunt
Looking away as she got back up to her mitts she shook off all the debris upon her peltage, and looked to the pro huntress for reassurance.

Leafpool laughed. " Me, a hunter? You should see the warriors and hunters in a clan; especially the hunters. I'm just trying to become a Healer, and I thought I was clumsy!" Leafpool blinked with happiness as her kit instinct swelled over her. She was not very old, but she always had enjoyed her kithood. " They float over the ground like Magic, their paws ever so lightly touching it." She crouched down low and laid her paws gently, her eyes focused on a imaginary mouse, trying to imitate what she had seen so often.

Rahmah watched her carefully as she stood back up to all fours.She paid heed to her antics and how she took stance. In mimic Rahmah still rested her hues on the other femme as she watched her and did as she did. Perhaps a different rank might do her instead of Huntress.. Rahmah just didnt have it in her at all to kill anything.
Backing out from the lesson she whined
Oh I cannot kill a living thing... I just.. I just dont have it in me...
Rahmah was to kind for her kind. Too snuggly and whiney as well. She would rather snuggle up to a lamb instead of eating one. Looking away in shame she spoke once more..
Perhaps I can meet your leader instead?
She asked the kit as she slowly turned her crania to look at her in questioning.

Leafpool blinked curiously at the lioness. When she was catching prey, she had never really thought about it. But she shook her head and gently mewed: " Perhaps you should stop thinking about the prey." She suggested.
Leafpool turned her head away shamefully as Rahmah mentioned her older pack, called FireSky. She had returned from looking for herbs for her old mentor, River, when she entered the camp and found the sight too bad to look at. A Band of wolves, or perhaps badgers jugding by the huge pawprints in the sand, had attacked the camp and there were too many of them for the clan, with five warriors our on a patrol. Everyone was dead. Bodies lied everywhere, and her mentor's throat had been torn. THe five warriors did not return, and Leafpool had no idea what to do. She lay there for about half a moon, hunting for herself but still desperate to learn the skills that she would have learned. Then she began moving towards the Northern Lands, and now she was here. The small cat twitched her ear sadly as she spilled out the story to Rahmah.

Sadly listening to her story, Rahmah nudged her with careful tatic. She pulled away after a quick nuzzle. Her massive frame overthrowing the tiny little cat. Rahmah lost her fear of her, unless she pissed her off again like at the waterhole. Then Rahmah would run and take cover once again. Poor Leafpool... Rahmah mewed lightly
There there, Healer. I am sure we can find a better home here, but I must find my brother Roaree before he wander off to far...
Her voice went thin as it drifted like the dunes of time. Rahmah lifted her massive crania and looked outward toward the horizons. Judging by the time of evening it had to of been no later then 7:00 pm. But Rahmah was no expert at time frame , she had no concept of time. All she knew the great ball of fire in the sky was slowly sinking and it was getting darker by the minute. The lioness looked back to Leafpool.
I lost my family too, but I was to young to recall the inncident. Roaree and I were just kits when it happned so I dont recall any of it. Perhaps Roaree knows....
Again her vocals trailed into a long brisk speech. Rahmah offered the little cat nothing but a short broad smile.

Leafpool sensed the tension around the lioness and the worry for her beloved brother, Roaree, was it? She brushed her muzzle across Rahmah's ear and mewed symathetically: " Perhaps we should rest here for a while, then maybe we can go looking for your brother in the morning."

Roaree padded into the area catching the bits of the conversation of the two having. He looked to Rahmah not even seeing the small black cat with it growing darker outside.
Who are you talking to sister?
He gruffed as he stepped closer, then almost tumbled upon his own footing as he almost stepped onto Leafpool. He jerked back and looked down and looked right at her.
Oooops... I see...
He offered a slight chuckle of embarrasment then shook his cranium and coughed to clear his dry throat. Looking to Rahmah.
Been looking for you...
His voice became stern, as he offered her a snarl under his breaths and narrowed his gaze, upon her then snapped a look to Leapool.
I think its time to leave... Come on..
He snapped his jaws toward his own sister and pulled back. Then he offered a deadly glare toward Leafpool. Or more so a protective one against Leafpool despite her size and all he knew he could swallow her whole.
You will not be meeting any leaders Rahmah, you know you cannot trust anyone...
He hissed in between his hooks as he roared lightly . He began to pad off expecting his siter to move out along with him.

Leafpool shrank back , her fur bristling. " You suspect me of doing harm to your sister?" She hissed, allowing a spat every so often. " You must have been watching Sky Fire too much. Rahmah has nothing against me and I have nothing against her." Suspecting that this was Roaree, she blinked with a hint of embarrasment at her betraying anger.

Rahmah looked to her mean brother, as he began to pad off away from the pair of she-cats. She looked down to Leafpool and shrugged as she had a sadened look spread across her face as she began to pad off too. looking behind her shoulders she stopped as Leafpool took to her defence. Swallowing she looked to her brother who could easily kill and eat her for breakfast, her ears flat upon her skull.
Roaree... I was just talking, to my new friend.. I like Leafpool she is kind...
Swallowing once more she expected a blow to the face from him as he turned to face her...
Roaree looked at his sister then looked to the small black cat. He looked at her with distaste and threw his cranium back in dry laughter.
Look at ya, hissing like that. You're pathetic, I could eat you whole!
He laughed once more then slowly lowered his head to look at the two before him.
Rahmah looked at her mean brother and narrowed her gaze at him as if to pout. She looked to her new friend as if she wanted to cry or something.
No...Roaree.. I will not let you...
She stepped in between the two, and held her nose up to his as her domes were still flat against her skull. Locking her occuli on her kin's, she hissed lightly.
Roaree smirked at his sister knowing he could kill her too if he so desired to, but he loved her.
Let go Rahmah we are leaving and that is final!
He slammed a mitt to the ground to throw a bit of his weight around to show he was getting serious now.
Rahmah could feel the vibration of his mitt slamming upon the ground. She knew her brother had a nasty temper and knew better then to piss him off. Swallowing once more she backed away and looked to Leafpool.
I guess I better go....
Sonars still flat against her skull she slunkered into a low stance in submissive form. That was the first time she ever stood up to her brother like that. A sigh fell from her charred lippens as she whispered in leafpool's ears before fully walking away, as she caught the glimpse of ehr brother turning away to pad off further more.
Meet me later... I think I will be in the grassier parts tonight
She winked at her her friend in hopes to get away with spending more time with her...She liked Leafpool and wanted to get to know her better.

Leafpool narrowed her eyes at Roaree, a hiss rising up in her throat. She pinned her ears back towards her head, tail lashing from side to side. " Your sister does what she wants," She yowled. " You, apparently have a mind that's too big for your mouth!" Leafpool was on the edge of springing at the massive lion as he left, taking Rahmah with him. She relaxed a bit as she spoke, and replied with a frustrated mew, still glaring defiantly at Roaree's back.

Roaree was fast alseep, in a large den he had found many miles away from the meeting place of Leafpool and Rahmah. Rahmah snuck out of the den keeping her hues peeled upon him locking them not to let go of her gaze as she tiptoed out of the den with swift silence. Her mitts kissed the ground in sheer silence as she reached the outside of the den, and looked over her shoulders to see if he might have awoken. Her ears tuned into the den, and blocked every distraction made on the outside of the den. Pering inward she slowly backed away from the den, and swiftly bolted off, her weight carrying her with hard running tatic...
She soon found her meeting place with Leafpool, in hopes that she was there waiting for her. She hated her brother for being so mean and untrusting. Hell Leafpool was alot smaller then Rahmah .. How bad could she injure her? Maybe just to pluck her eyeballs out as she could cling upon her face, that might be it, but Rahmah was'nt bound to piss her off to find out either. She respected Leafpool and wanted their friendship to grow deeper. Looking around herself she mewed lightly and whispered out her name, despite the fact that Raoree wasnt around to detect her there, and plus he was fast asleep snoring away in a huge den. Rahmah wished Roaree would accept her having friends . But he was always running scared all because of the past since they were kittens...

The moon glittered through the dark night as Leafpool quietly made her way towards their meeting place, trying to place her paws carefully in the mass of twigs that lay tangled in the undergrowth. Her heart was beating fast, although she was trying not to think of what Roaree would do if he found out. Inspite of herself, when Leafpool got caught in a tangle of nettles, she began clawing and yowling her way out, instead of trying to be calm like a real Healer. By the time she had gained control of herself, her fur was a matted tangle of black and green, lodged firmly a few paws above the ground. She sighed. How would Rahmah ever find her now?
